There have been times when watching movies or TV with a group, and when two characters of the same gender hug for affection or comforting purposes, I've heard someone pipe up and exclaim, "They're gay!".
Now, I'm intelligent enough to know that they are kidding around...but what about this thought: if a gay character in a movie or real life hugs a member of the opposite gender, does one exclaim, "They're straight!" ?

Okay, I'm guilty of jumping to conclusions more than once. It's moreso that the society we live in now automatically assume from just simply gestures. It's the way the world is now, paranoid and out for others. Stereotypes run rampant in this area, people don't even take time to ask for truth. If someone says something, it's the bandwagon effect.
