Just finished a book called "Magic Street", it was written by Orson Scott Card - he also wrote the book "Ender's Game" if any of you are familiar with that.
I thought it was a good read, it's a fantasy story set in modern day, and is loosely based on Shakespeare's "Mid Summer's Nights Dream". It starts out with a college professor who gives a homeless guy a ride, only to find that when he reaches his house, his wife has gone through 9 months of being pregnant within two hours and gives birth at the same time. Then the homeless man comes in, takes the baby, and carries it out in a plastic shopping bag. The wife's memory is erased and doesn't remember any of it.
This is how the story begins. There is a little profanity, and very slight suggested sex (but only after they get married). A good yarn for summer, I thought!
