Why is it that insanity is one of the worst things that can ever happen to a person. I really don't understand why everyone thinks it's so bad. I mean, some of the greatest people in the history of the world were insane, obviously so. Why is it all of the sudden everyone who is deemed "insane" is suddenly a threat to society?
I mean, I'm insane. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go off a kill someone. I'm just insane. I think differently then the "normal" people around me. I don't think about school, or about home, or my health or my life. Instead, I think a lot about what comes after the end. About what happens after a persons heart stops beating and they "die". So I think about death a lot. The people around me the society deems "normal" think I'm suicidal. And I'm not. I never once have ever thought about harming myself. I discourage such thoughts, not only in myself, but in my friends. But the people around me think that I'm insane, and I don't like that. What makes them so sure they're not insane?
Every bodies got something that makes them insane. Even if it's just little things, it's still insanity. And eventually, we all descend into insanity, once our age catches up with us. And some of us, even earlier then that. But just because someone does all their homework and hands all of it in and never starts anything with anyone doesn't mean they're sane. It just means they avoid confrontation.
Also, I don't like it when I get pressured to do something. I don't like it when someone demands that I do something. It rubs me the wrong way, and it makes me less likely to do it. Take homework for example. My old history teacher didn't care when we turned things in, as long as they were done and right. So I turned things in three weeks after we got them. And because of that, I had a lot of time to think about my answers. I wrote essay long answers to everything, and my teacher loved it so much he recommended me to A.P. English and A.P. History. Of course, in A.P. History the teacher demanded everything be done before the end of class, which meant I had little to no time to think, and got so much wrong that I got bumped back down to normal history, which annoyed me.
Pressure is one of the worst things our society can do, and yet we do it every day. In fact, it's really all we ever do. "Clean your room, now!" "Do the dishes!" "Get your homework done!" "Go to Harvard!" "Be the future!" Well what if I don't want to? What if I don't want t be the future, or go to Harvard, or turn my homework in, or do my chores? Suddenly I'm a bad kid. Suddenly I'm a reject from society who needs to take seven different medications a day just so that I can be "stable and healthy, and add to society." well I think society sucks. All we ever do is pressure each other, and fight and kill. It's all our world ever does. The only time we ever have peace is when we lose, or we can't take it anymore. Very rarely is there ever a peace that is beneficial to both sides. It's always one side gains, the other either loses or gets nothing. And there will never be a time where that won't be the case, on the larger scale of things. I'm not saying everyone in the world is like that. I'm just saying that as far as the bigger picture goes, thats the way things are.
Meh, I'm done ranting now. I guess. I might add more later, when I feel the need to.
